£56,239

During the UK asylum process, many refugees survive on as little as £8.86 per week. 84% are forced to choose between transport and accessing other essentials like food and healthcare, with detrimental impacts on physical and mental health.
The Bike Project is a UK charity which supports refugees facing transport poverty by refurbishing and donating secondhand bikes, providing on-going maintenance support and delivering cycling training programmes. As well as free mode of transport, a bike offers numerous health, social and environmental benefits!
We believe that no one should have to choose between eating a hot meal and catching the bus. That's why we do bikes.
